As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be part of a dynamic team that thrives on creativity, innovation, and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Modern Design, Projects, and other design groups, to conceptualize and develop innovative product ideas
* Develop, model, assess, and investigate new product designs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance
* Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design critiques, providing constructive feedback and insights
* Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders, effectively communicating your design vision and goals
* Create detailed specifications, drawings, and documentation to support product development
* Engage with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize product design for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and aesthetics
* Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Approve and describe product designs through various iterations, ensuring they meet the required standards
* Develop deep technical expertise by taking products from concept to production, ensuring they meet corrective and functional requirements
* Ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and customer satisfaction
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Proven experience in product design, with a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design issues and develop innovative solutions
* Experience with 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar tools
* Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and other relevant design methodologies
* Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools
* Ability to travel globally (up to 20%), with a valid passport and necessary visas
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Experience with product development, from concept to production
* Familiarity with agile development methodologies and lean principles
* Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and human-centered design principles
* Experience with design for sustainability and environmental impact
* Familiarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies
