As a Safety Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Safety department by processing reviews, collecting data, growing reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating activities, and collaborating on various initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**
As a Safety Analyst, you'll be responsible for:
* Acting as a project manager for Safety Programs
* Collaborating with Safety Department Managers on safety activities
* Reviewing, analyzing, and investigating all reports acquired through the safety reporting system (Operational/Irregularity, ASAP, Fatigue)
* Analyzing technical data from hazards, activities, and occurrences, and identifying and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
* Acting as a safety auditor for the Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Investigations, and accelerated hazard areas of operations
* Tracking, analyzing, and interpreting data outputs from the Company's safety programs
* Assisting with the management of the company databases for the purpose of enhanced airline safety
* Assisting the Safety Team in any critical investigations
* Providing technical knowledge to Management on data models, database design improvement, and data mining
* Preparing relevant reports and communicating safety-related data to managers and line employees in support of the Safety Management System (SMS)
* Assisting with the development, implementation, and control of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS)
* Acting as a member of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Monitoring Team, overseeing aircraft data collection (including Technical Operations), conducting FOQA data evaluation, and fashioning identity
* Maintaining FOQA Database and ensuring organization compliance with FOQA guidelines
* Assisting with the continuous development of the risk identification and safety hazard evaluation schemes of the Company
* Preparing research studies on aviation safety trends
* Any other duties assigned by management
**Essential Qualifications**
* Knowledge of Aviation Safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA, FRMP, IEP, VDRP)
* Operational familiarity with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight, and Maintenance
* Knowledge of aircraft systems, minimum system lists, aircraft dispatch procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations
* Knowledge of Safety Management System requirements, hazard control, safety assurance, safety reporting, and safety promotion
* Basic knowledge of Crew Resource Management principles and aviation human factors
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
* Excellent writing skills, including report writing, document writing, and correspondence with regulatory agencies
* Excellent verbal, presentation, and educational skills
* Strong technical and data analysis skills; ability to perform statistical analysis and audits
**Preferred Skills**
* Bachelor's degree in an associated field
* Previous experience in airline operations
* FAA aircraft dispatcher, pilot, and/or A&P certificate
