About the Role: Senior Data Engineer
We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Information and Analytics Engineering team. As a key member of this team, you'll play a critical role in driving data, analytics, and insights that are transforming the healthcare industry. You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data solutions, leveraging Google Cloud/Azure Platform and on-prem infrastructure to deliver high-quality data products and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities to leverage structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to make analytics faster, smarter, and more efficient.
- Design and implement advanced data solutions using core data technologies to support next-best actions.
- Develop highly scalable data architectures and data platforms that enable data integration, data management, and analytics of massive datasets from multiple channels.
- Work closely with data scientists to design feature sets, conduct in-depth analysis of data elements, and integrate ML and NLP models with the data pipeline.
- Re-engineer existing on-prem solutions to cloud platforms and optimize data pipeline performance.
- Bring a DevOps mindset to enable big data and batch/real-time analytics solutions that leverage emerging technologies.
Essential Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics, with hands-on experience in data integration.
- 4+ years of experience in ETL pipelines, data architecture and design patterns, data security, cloud architecture, and automation.
- 2+ years of experience with Python and/or PySpark.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical stakeholders in written and verbal form.
- Collaboration and interpersonal skills within and across teams.
- Proven ability to create innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building and implementing data transformation and processing solutions.
- Ability to understand and build complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems.
- Graduate degree preferred.
