Job Overview
We are looking for skilled and compassionate Telehealth Registered Nurses to work in a remote, telehealth setting. As a Telehealth RN, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessment, health education, and utilization management services to our patients. This is a full-time position that requires working weekends and holidays, with flexible scheduling options available. Key Responsibilities
- Triage symptom-based calls and provide recommendations according to approved triage protocols
- Communicate with patients primarily by phone, as well as through text, online chat, and email
- Provide professional nursing assessment and intervention to patients with acute and chronic care needs
- Mobilize patients and families to employ healthy coping strategies, engage in shared decision-making, and utilize community resources
- Identify gaps in patient services and develop alternative resources
- Exercise professional nursing judgment and advanced communication skills to network with healthcare professionals, agencies, and systems
- Demonstrate mandatory and clinical competencies of the position
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and healthcare providers to improve the clinical experience for patients, staff, and providers
- Provide health education and prepare individuals for primary care manager/physician visits
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or an associate's degree in nursing
- Current, active, compact license issued by the state of residence and in good standing with the Board of Registered Nurses
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience as a RN
- Ability to triage patients according to triage guidelines and protocols, assessing patients and applying solid decision-making to achieve highest patient outcomes in a quick and timely manner
- Call center experience (inbound) and metric-driven environment work experience
- Computer savvy, with ability to maneuver between multiple windows and application systems simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with a military population
- Retired military, family member of Active Duty Service Member (ADSM), or working knowledge of/worked at an MTF or VA center
- Experience with electronic triage software and computerized medical protocols
- High-speed internet connection and distraction-free work area
