As a Volunteer Virtual Livestream Event Moderator, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive virtual space where everyone feels valued and supported.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Virtual Livestream Event Moderator, you'll be responsible for:
### Audience Engagement
* Welcome and energize the virtual audience during live sessions, setting the tone for a positive and engaging experience.
* Monitor and interact with audience comments in the chat, responding to questions and keeping the energy upbeat.
* Share event updates, encourage participation, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment that fosters meaningful connections among attendees.
### Live Session Moderation
* Host and moderate livestreamed conversations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions with performers and speakers, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all participants.
* Guide one-on-one conversations between audience members and featured guests, providing a safe and supportive space for meaningful dialogue.
* Manage timing and transitions between segments to keep the event on schedule, working closely with the production team to troubleshoot any live communication issues.
### Community Building
* Foster a welcoming and supportive virtual space where everyone feels included, valued, and respected.
* Help amplify the festival's themes of self-love and resilience by encouraging meaningful dialogue and connections among attendees.

**Who You Are**
We're looking for charismatic and empathetic individuals who are passionate about creating engaging experiences and fostering meaningful connections. If you're:
* A confident and empathetic communicator who enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
* Experienced in facilitating conversations or moderating discussions (or excited to learn and develop your skills).
* Comfortable using livestreaming platforms like Zoom, YouTube Live, or StreamYard.
* A team player who can think on your feet and adapt to changing dynamics, working collaboratively with the production team and other moderators.
* Available to dedicate 5-10 hours per week leading up to the festival and full availability on February 13, 2025.
