About The Role As a key member of our engineering team, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing data pipelines that operate entirely within the browser environment. Your work will involve developing Web Workers that process Apache Arrow binary data, implementing persistent caching strategies using the Origin Private File System, and creating multi-layer invalidation mechanisms to ensure UI responsiveness even when handling datasets that challenge typical web applications.
You will build interactive visualizations for time-series telemetry, frequency analysis via FFT, geographic mapping, and scatter plots, each tailored to meet stringent performance and correctness standards. Your expertise will be critical in solving performance bottlenecks that frameworks like React cannot address alone, such as bypassing render cycles for 60fps interactions, managing memory across large binary buffers, and coordinating worker thread pools. Additionally, you will architect composable UI systems that expose the full fidelity of hardware telemetry data, including zeptosecond-level timestamp precision, collaborating closely with backend engineers on API design, binary serialization formats, and data query semantics.

Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience building sophisticated web applications with a focus on performance optimization
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and experience working within React codebases
• Strong systems-level understanding, including memory layout, thread coordination, caching strategies, and data serialization formats
• Proven track record of developing systems where correctness and data fidelity are paramount
• Experience with binary data processing, including formats like Apache Arrow, Parquet, protobuf, or FlatBuffers
• Familiarity with browser threading and storage APIs such as Web Workers, SharedArrayBuffer, and OPFS
• Ability to design and implement performance-critical features that push browser capabilities beyond standard use cases
• Experience working on infrastructure that involves custom caching layers, data pipelines, rendering engines, or developer tools
