Head of Retail Expansion – North America

About Us The Ayurveda Experience is a fast-growing Ayurvedic beauty & wellness brand with a strong D2C presence across the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. After establishing a robust online business, we are now expanding into offline retail partnerships across major skincare and beauty retailers in North America. We are looking for an experienced, well-connected retail expansion leader to drive our entry into key retail chains like Sephora, Ulta, Whole Foods, Macy’s, Nordstrom, and other specialty beauty retailers. Role Overview As the Offline Head – North America, you will be responsible for driving retail distribution, securing shelf space, and expanding brand presence across major retailers. This role requires a highly strategic and execution-focused individual with strong industry connections in the North American beauty & skincare sector. Key Responsibilities Retail Expansion & Strategic Growth • Develop & execute a comprehensive retail expansion strategy for North America • Identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with major beauty retailers (Sephora, Ulta, • Whole Foods, Macy’s, Nordstrom, etc.). • Explore additional retail channels, including specialty beauty boutiques, pharmacies, and department stores • Lead market entry planning, wholesale strategy, and distributor partnerships Business Development & Relationship Management • Leverage existing relationships with key retail buyers & category managers to establish The Ayurveda Experience in premium beauty & wellness stores • Pitch the brand to retail decision-makers, positioning it as a premium Ayurvedic skincare brand • Work closely with distributors, brokers, and sales agencies to maximize retail penetration Sales & P&L Ownership • Own the revenue targets for offline retail sales, driving profitability through strategic pricing & margin optimization • Develop wholesale pricing models, trade promotions, and retail marketing plans to support in-store growth • Track retail sell-through, inventory levels, and demand planning with the operations team. Brand Positioning & Trade Marketing • Work with the marketing team to develop in-store activations, retail merchandising, and POS displays • Oversee training & education programs for retail staff to enhance brand awareness • Align with digital & influencer marketing teams to create integrated omnichannel strategies that drive in-store sales Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams to ensure smooth retail execution • Work closely with product development to align new product launches with retailer requirements • Identify opportunities for co-branded promotions & collaborations with retailers. Ideal Candidate Profile Must Have: • 7+ years of experience in offline retail expansion, business development, or wholesale partnerships in the beauty, skincare, or wellness industry • Established relationships with retail buyers at Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Whole Foods, or similar premium retailers • Strong network of distributors, brokers, and retail sales agents in the USA • Experience in wholesale pricing, trade marketing, and retail sales negotiations • Proven track record of securing shelf space & growing retail sales for beauty brands • Ability to work independently & drive revenue growth in a fast-paced startup environment • Strong negotiation & relationship-building skills • Willingness to travel across North America for retail meetings & industry events Good to Have: • Experience working with third-party sales agencies & field teams to drive in-store performance • Background in clean beauty, Ayurveda, or natural skincare brands. • Understanding of retail planograms, and in-store merchandising best practices • Experience in scaling brands from D2C to omnichannel retail What We Offer • High-impact leadership role in a rapidly growing Ayurvedic beauty brand • Ownership over the North American offline expansion strategy • Competitive salary + performance-based incentives • Opportunity to work with a global team & build a major offline presence in the US beauty industry
