Indie Publisher Sales Lead

Description The Opportunity: Key Responsibilities: • Field Sales: Spend the majority of your working week "in the field" meeting with indie game publishers across major industry hubs. • Pipeline Management: Identify and prospect indie game publishers across PC, console, and mobile. • Face-to-Face Pitching: Execute in-person pitches of IGN's advertising, content, and partnership offerings to key decision-makers. • Relationship Building: Attend industry mixers, developer communities, and publisher offices to build long-term revenue-generating partnerships. • Deal Execution: Negotiate and close complex media deals. • Travel: Attend major domestic and international gaming conventions (GDC, PAX, etc.) to conduct on-site sales activities. Job Qualifications: • Proven Field Success: Experience in a role that requires autonomous travel and off-site client acquisition. • Indie Expertise: Deep understanding of the indie gaming ecosystem (publishers, developers, launch cycles). • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Highly self-motivated and comfortable with a performance-driven structure. • Communication: Elite storytelling and negotiation skills. • Logistics: Must have the ability to travel frequently to meet with clients at their locations and have their own reliable mode of transportation for local travel.
