Nielsen Miller Law is a modern, collaborative, tech-forward, and client-focused law firm. They are seeking a 1st-year associate attorney to represent family law clients, draft documents, and participate in court hearings under the supervision of senior attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Must be teachable, open to feedback, and willing to take on new challenges
- Represent family law clients under the supervision of senior attorneys
- Draft and revise documents
- Maintain excellent communication with clients
- Travel to court for hearings in Franklin and surrounding counties
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and pro se opposing parties
- Participate in depositions
- Other tasks as determined by the managing attorney
- The associate will be expected to diligently hone their case management and trial advocacy skills
Skills
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited university by Summer 2022
- License to practice law in Ohio by November 2022
- 1+ year of litigation experience and/or 6 months of family law experience
- Knowledge of Ohio family law
