About the position
The LIFT Secondary Math Campus Coach supports Region 6 ESC districts and secondary campuses in implementing the Leadership & Instructional Foundations of Texas (LIFT) math framework with fidelity. The coach partners with district leaders, campus administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers to strengthen instructional systems, support High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) implementation, and improve student outcomes through training, coaching, and data-informed continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
• Assess campus context, readiness, and capacity for LIFT implementation
• Analyze technical and adaptive conditions impacting instructional systems
• Collaborate with LIFT District Coaches to interpret diagnostics and campus-level data
• Build strong professional relationships with campus leaders, teachers, and system leaders
• Develop shared understanding of LIFT vision, goals, and implementation requirements
• Support alignment of campus systems and practices to LIFT and HQIM expectations
• Collaborate with district and campus leaders to plan multi-year LIFT support
• Provide or support professional learning for campus leaders and teachers
• Deliver job-embedded coaching using data-driven, high-leverage action steps
• Support campus leaders in coaching teachers and strengthening instructional practice
• Build ownership and sustainability of instructional systems beyond grant funding
• Monitor progress toward system and campus goals using qualitative and quantitative data
• Assess fidelity of implementation and adherence to grant requirements
• Communicate progress, successes, and challenges regularly to stakeholders
• Adjust support strategies in collaboration with LIFT District Coaches as needed
• Maintain certification and actively engage in coaching and continuous improvement
• Complete required documentation, data collection, and reporting with fidelity
• Serve as a collaborative member of the Region 6 ESC LIFT team
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Valid Texas teaching certificate required in secondary mathematics
• Ability to earn and maintain required LIFT and Approved Provider certifications
• Experience in 6–12 instructional coaching and/or campus or district leadership
• Experience supporting secondary math curriculum implementation, PLCs, and teacher coaching
• Strong knowledge of instructional systems, HQIM, and teacher coaching practices
• Ability to facilitate adult learning and lead professional development
• Skill in data analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement processes
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple campuses, priorities, and timelines
Nice-to-haves
• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience working with campus or district improvement initiatives preferred
