Our client is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize fleet operations in the **Minneapolis, Minnesota, US** area. This hybrid role requires a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. You will be responsible for managing the daily activities of our transportation fleet, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods while maintaining high safety standards. Your duties will include dispatching drivers, monitoring vehicle performance, coordinating maintenance schedules, and managing fuel consumption. You will act as a primary point of contact for drivers, clients, and internal departments, resolving any logistical issues that may arise. A key aspect of this role involves utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and other software to track shipments, optimize routes, and analyze operational data for continuous improvement. You will also be involved in ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is essential. Responsibilities: Coordinate daily dispatch operations for a fleet of commercial vehicles. Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to schedules and delivery routes. Schedule and track vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime. Manage fuel purchasing and monitor fuel efficiency across the fleet. Serve as the primary liaison between drivers, dispatch, customers, and internal departments. Resolve operational issues and customer complaints promptly and effectively. Utilize TMS software for route optimization, load planning, and real-time tracking. Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance history. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. 2+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or fleet management. Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software. Strong understanding of transportation regulations (e.g., DOT). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
