Clinical Supervisor (LPC – Peer Support Oversight)
Day by Day Counseling Center is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to serve as a Clinical Supervisor providing oversight for Peer Support Services. This role is designed to be low workload and flexible, focusing on compliance, consultation, and quality assurance rather than direct clinical care.
The Clinical Supervisor ensures that Peer Support Services remain non-clinical, recovery-focused, and compliant with Louisiana Department of Health guidelines while supporting staff with guidance and risk management when necessary.
Scope of Role:
This position focuses on oversight only and does not include direct service delivery.
This role does NOT include:
Carrying a client caseload
Providing therapy or counseling services
Completing primary clinical documentation
This role DOES include:
Clinical oversight and consultation
Risk support when needed
General compliance guidance
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general oversight of Peer Support Services
Ensure services remain within peer support scope and are recovery-oriented
Offer case consultation as needed (minimal volume expected)
Provide guidance during crisis or high-risk situations when escalated
Review and sign off on required charts/documentation
Support compliance with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and Medicaid guidelines
Maintain accurate and timely supervision practices
Ensure adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Practice Support Expectations:
Collaborate with Day by Day Counseling Center staff to maintain compliance
Review documentation provided in an organized manner
Communicate any concerns related to client safety or program compliance
Minimum Time Commitment:
Minimum of 4 hours per month, including:
Monthly supervision/check-ins (1–2 sessions)
Case consultation as needed
Limited chart/documentation review
Additional hours beyond 4 per month may be required occasionally and will be compensated
Documentation & Availability Requirements:
Routine chart review: Once per week (scheduled day to be agreed upon)
Availability for urgent/high-risk consultations within 24 hours of notification
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Louisiana
Eligible or approved to provide clinical supervision (preferred)
Knowledge of Peer Support Services scope of practice
Familiarity with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and Medicaid guidelines
Strong understanding of ethical standards and HIPAA compliance
Professional liability insurance required
Work Environment:
Flexible, low-demand role
Remote and/or on-site as needed

This position is structured as a contracted role (independent contractor) unless otherwise specified
Administrative duties, billing, and scheduling are handled by the organization
