Part-Time Graphic Designer — Ongoing Marketing Design Support
About us
We are an established B2B marketing education company. We produce a steady stream of marketing assets across web, email, social, paid media, print, and event materials — webinars, online courses, multi-week expert series, conferences, sponsored content, lead-gen campaigns, and more. We need a reliable part-time designer to plug into our team and turn around work consistently.
The role
This isn't a single project. It's ongoing, recurring work across the full marketing mix. You'll be executing within established brand standards and templates most of the time, and occasionally designing new templates or campaign concepts from scratch.
Typical deliverables (mix varies week to week)
- Web graphics: landing page heroes, promotional banners, course/event tiles in multiple sizes, mobile-optimized variants
- Email: header images, hero graphics, speaker/instructor portraits, animated GIFs, modular template components
- Social: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram — static, carousel, and short animation
- Paid media: Netline, LinkedIn, Google display, retargeting — in all required ad sizes
- Event collateral: booth graphics, signage, slide decks, name badges, printed handouts, conference programs
- Long-form layouts: ebooks, whitepapers, research reports, guides, case studies
- Sales and partner materials: one-sheets, media kits, sponsorship decks
- Branded templates for internal teams to reuse
- Photo retouching, masking, color correction, greyscale conversions, vectorizing logos
• Required skills
- Adobe Creative Cloud, expert level: **Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign** (all three are non-negotiable — we use AI templates, PSD files, and InDesign for long-form layouts)
- Strong typography and layout fundamentals
- Print production: bleed, crop marks, CMYK, packaging files for print vendors
- Web and email optimization: hitting tight file size targets (often under 100KB) without visible quality loss, multi-size export workflows, retina and 2x considerations
- Working from existing brand standards and templates with pixel-accurate consistency
- Sourcing and licensing imagery (Getty, Adobe Stock)
- Vectorizing raster logos and color-conversion (e.g., to all-white for dark backgrounds)
• *Preferred Skills
- After Effects and motion design for short social and email animations
- Figma
- Acrobat for fillable PDFs and form design
- HTML and CSS understanding for email-friendly graphics
- Familiarity with B2B marketing aesthetics
How we work
- We send specs, templates, copy, brand assets, and source imagery. We expect you to use them as supplied. Don't redraw logos, substitute photos, or improvise on brand elements. If something is missing or unclear, ask before guessing.
- Deliverables include editable source files (AI, PSD, INDD) plus exports in the formats we request.
- Tight specs matter — sizes, formats, file size limits, and template adherence are not suggestions.
- We value designers who read the brief carefully and execute exactly what was asked, then offer creative direction when invited.
Workload
- Estimated 15–25 hours per week, ongoing.
- Mix of recurring weekly campaigns and ad-hoc requests.
- Looking for a long-term working relationship, not a one-off.
Hiring process
Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid sample project against a real spec we use internally — a full multi-asset event package with defined sizes, formats, file size limits, and supplied templates and imagery. This lets us evaluate your ability to follow specs precisely, work within brand templates, and deliver production-ready files. Details will be shared after initial review.
To apply, please include
1. **Link to your portfolio** — must include relevant B2B marketing, event, email, and long-form layout work.
2. Confirmation of Illustrator, Photoshop, **and InDesign** proficiency — with specific portfolio examples of each.
3. Your hourly rate.
4. Typical availability and turnaround for same-day vs. next-day requests.
5. A short note (2–3 sentences): describe a time you got a brief that was missing information — what did you do?
Applications without a portfolio link, or missing item 2 or item 5, won't be reviewed.
