Job Summary:
CVS Health, a leading national health care company, is seeking an experienced Medical Director to oversee medical policy implementation and provide clinical expertise for our national accounts. As a Medical Director, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs to address member needs across the continuum of care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for medical policy implementation and medical management programs
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs
- Support Medical Management staff to ensure timely and consistent responses to members and providers
- Oversee utilization review/quality assurance and direct case management
- Provide clinical expertise and business direction to support medical management programs
- Act as lead business and clinical liaison to network providers and facilities
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in health care delivery system (e.g., clinical practice and health care industry)
- Active and current state medical license without encumbrances
- M.D. or D.O., Board Certification in a recognized specialty
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health plan/payor experience
- Electronic medical systems/record experience
- Managed Care experience
