SUMMARY

The Assistant Director is responsible for the administration of all aspects of School Partnerships and Teacher Training Programs. CAP is seeking to develop teacher training programs and this position will be integral to expanding its current programming, launching new programs, and envisioning this new aspect of CAP's mission. This position coordinates logistics for CAP programs in all artistic disciplines, including arts education and arts integration programs. This position reports to the Executive Director and develops strategic and sustainable partnerships and programming through close work with individual schools, school communities, and faculty, and other members of the CAP team.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching K-12 students; leading professional development opportunities for teachers; managing employees; have experience with the needs and expectations of the diverse communities of Los Angeles county; establish and sustain positive relationships with school communities, arts organizations and providers throughout the County, understand the power of the arts to give agency and voice to those often not heard; be a deft and patient communicator; be able to work well both independently and collaboratively; and be genuinely enthusiastic about, and committed to, the mission of CalArts.

Requirements

Salary

$83,694.00 - $94,633.50 a year
