Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and play a vital role in enriching the lives of clients through meaningful therapeutic interventions. In this remote position, you will support licensed occupational therapists in delivering high-quality care, collaborating on treatment plans, and ensuring clients achieve progress and independence in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of occupational therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of licensed therapists.
• Assist in the development, execution, and revision of individualized treatment plans, following state guidelines.
• Lead and direct activity programs designed to improve patient outcomes and foster engagement.
• Monitor and document clients’ progress, reporting observations and updates to the therapy team.
• Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate care and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards in all aspects of therapy delivery.
• Stay abreast of best practices and contribute to ongoing team learning and improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant with formal training and relevant certification.
• Demonstrated ability in active listening, service orientation, and social perceptiveness to support diverse clients.
• Proven expertise in judgment and decision-making within a healthcare or therapy setting.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication, with meticulous attention to documentation and patient interaction.
• Skilled in systems analysis, monitoring, and applying learning strategies to adapt to changing client needs.
• Strong critical thinking abilities to assess client progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with remote therapy delivery and telehealth platforms.
• Background in developing activity programs or leading therapeutic groups.
