Political Science/Public Administration Instructor and Online Coordinator

**Overview:** Central Michigan University's School of Politics, Society, Justice and Public Service invites applications for a full-time fixed-term faculty position as a Political Science/Public Administration Instructor and Online Coordinator. This position will manage and engage students in the School's undergraduate online programs in Political Science, International Relations, and Public & Nonprofit Administration. The successful candidate will teach at least four online courses during the academic year and work closely with the University's online advisors and support staff. **Responsibilities:** • Teach at least four online courses during the academic year in Political Science, International Relations, or Public & Nonprofit Administration • Manage and engage students in the School's undergraduate online programs • Participate in the University's online orientation events for new students • Welcome and mentor online students each semester • Review existing course shells and host virtual events • Promote students' online success and serve as the primary liaison between online students and the School • Collaborate with the University's online advisors and support staff • *Qualifications:** • Master's degree in Political Science/International Relations or Public/Nonprofit Administration, or closely related field • Two years of online teaching experience at the university level • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in online programs • Experience engaging online learners from a wide range of backgrounds • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team • Effective oral/written communication skills • Expertise in online pedagogy with proficiency in the use of online instructional technologies • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation • *Benefits:** Central Michigan University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: • Nationally recognized wellness program • Health care and benefits that exceed regional, state, and national norms • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive academic environment • Access to state-of-the-art technology and instructional resources • Competitive salary and benefits package Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
