Description:
• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of Airbnb’s SEC reporting documents, primarily Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• Ensure financial disclosures are accurate, compliant, and clearly communicated under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Partner with Investor Relations to validate data for quarterly shareholder letters and earnings call materials.
• Monitor new U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations and assess their disclosure impact.
• Draft limited, low-risk routine technical accounting memos when needed.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for ad hoc financial reporting requests.
• Collaborate with Legal, Tax, and FP&A to align financial data and reporting outputs.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide quality control and constructive feedback.
• Drive process improvement by using financial reporting systems such as Workiva to automate workflows and improve scalability.
• Streamline the month-end close reporting cycle and enhance data infrastructure.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, external reporting, or public accounting.
• Deep expertise in SEC reporting requirements, including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Big 4 public accounting background highly desired.
• Significant hands-on experience with financial reporting software such as Workiva.
• Experience managing XBRL tagging.
• Strong understanding of SOX 404, internal controls, and auditing practices.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial information into clear external disclosures.
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams independently during peak reporting periods.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and providing detailed review feedback.
• Exceptional cross-functional partnership skills with Investor Relations, Legal, and executive management.

• Base pay range of $156,000 to $195,000 USD.
