Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Acquires new clients through proactive prospecting, networking, and agency partnerships to meet or exceed annual premium targets.
Builds and retains profitable relationships with clients and agency partners by developing and executing action plans to support agency growth and performance.
Identifies and develops target markets and implements marketing plans to drive visibility and lead generation.
Clearly communicates insurance solutions and value propositions and serves as a trusted advisor to clients and partners.
Tracks and manages book performance, pricing trends, and profitability and adjusts strategies based on market and competitive insights.
Deliver responsive, high-quality service when addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Generally, a minimum of 6 months of experience in sales, preferably in insurance or financial services. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Associate in Underwriting (AU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
Scope of Job/Qualifications: Strong understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships. Proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions. Demonstrated decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms. Position is expected to travel and make day and/or overnight trips to visit customers, prospects and participate in marketing events.
