Now Hiring: Remote Registered Dietitian (Consistent Weekend Coverage) – Novant Health
Novant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Registered Dietitian to provide weekend nutrition coverage for multiple acute care facilities, including:
Scott’s Hill Medical Center
Pender Memorial Medical Center
Brunswick Medical Center
New Hanover Ortho Medical Center
This position supports patient-centered clinical nutrition services remotely across the regional network and plays a key role in delivering high-quality nutritional care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Schedule:
Remote position
Every other weekend (8 hours per week)
Saturday & Sunday coverage required
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct nutrition assessments and reassessments for hospitalized patients
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
Document nutrition interventions and recommendations in the electronic medical record
Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards

What We're Looking For
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelors in dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition.
Graduate Degree, preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Clinical Dietitian, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian status by the commission on Dietetic Registration, required.
Licensed Dietitian in appropriate state, required.
Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Knowledge, ability and skills to support patient education and patient engagement in self-care management to accommodate cultural diversity, age specific or behavior needs among the patients being served.
Additional Skills (preferred): Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to relay information to diverse audiences for one-on-one consultations, small and large group presentations; dynamic presence for media interviews, health fairs and other invited presentations/appearances.
