Company: Nutrition Care of Rochester, PLLC
Job Location: New York State (Rochester, NY based)
Seeking: Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and/or Certified Nutrition Specialists
Nutrition Care of Rochester, PLLC is a privately owned, insurance-based group practice that has been serving the Rochester community for 10 years and continues to grow. We are searching for RDNs or a CNS who is hardworking, empathetic, and driven to succeed in a setting that values relationships over volume and people over algorithms.
At NCR, what we offer goes far beyond basic nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy. What we provide is an experience for the patient: an experience where they feel heard, seen, and understood; where they leave the appointment feeling like someone has finally taken their concerns and struggles seriously. You have the time and autonomy to listen, problem‑solve, and collaborate on sustainable changes in a truly safe space.
This position is perfect for the dietitian who wants to support a smaller business, prefers a manageable caseload that allows meaningful client relationships, values clinical autonomy and flexibility in treatment approach, and thrives in a collaborative, non‑corporate practice culture.
What you can count on:
• Stable, transparent pay
This is a salaried position with a guaranteed paycheck, not a per-session model that fluctuates with no shows, cancellations, or shifting algorithms.
No productivity quotas, dashboards, or “performance” metrics that dictate how you practice.
• Manageable caseload and real relationships
You will carry a caseload that allows time to think, chart, follow up, and build trust, not a high volume schedule designed to maximize billable minutes.
You will primarily see the clients and conditions you feel comfortable with, and over time, you can grow into your specialty areas.
• Clinical autonomy with support
You choose evidence‑based approaches that align with your training and values; we do not script your sessions or require one size fits all protocols.
You are part of a small, collaborative team where your input shapes workflows, policies, and how care is delivered.
• We handle the business side
Our team manages scheduling new patients as well as billing and insurance so you can focus on client care.
You get the benefits of private practice (autonomy, flexibility, long‑term clients) without the stress of running a business alone.
Primary responsibilities
• Provide individualized nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy.
• Assess patients, create care plans, and provide personalized education.
• Document progress and collaborate with healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain your patient base in a client‑centered, non-corporate environment.
What you bring
• Active RDN or CNS status as well as CDN
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics plus completed Dietetic Internship.
• 2+ years of nutrition/health experience preferred.
• New grad? Not a problem, we would be happy to help you jump start your career.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Preferred: MS in Nutrition and/or experience or certification in pediatrics, gastroenterology, diabetes, oncology, or eating disorders.
Schedule, pay, and benefits
• Part‑Time (24 hrs/week) with the goal to grow to Full‑Time (40 hrs/week).
• Monday–Friday with one early evening preferred.
• Salary plus annual bonus up to 5%.
• Paid holidays and PTO.
• 401(k) with company match.
• Health insurance.
• Company laptop and associated equipment.
• Continuing education stipend
Telehealth structure
At this time, we primarily provide telehealth appointments, so you must be able to work remotely. A professional‑looking background, a quiet and private workspace, and a reliable internet connection are required to ensure a smooth, high quality video experience with patients. If this is not possible in your home environment, working from the main office may be an option.
Our stance on side practices
While we respect and value the entrepreneurial spirit and the role private practices play in expanding access to nutrition care, we are not seeking dietitians who currently own or are in the process of starting their own private practice.
Our goal is to build a collaborative, dedicated team where each dietitian is fully invested in our mission and committed to growing together. By focusing your energy here, you’ll have the support of a team, established systems for client care and billing, and the opportunity to expand your impact without the added stress of running your own business. This allows us to provide consistent, high‑quality care to our clients and fosters a strong, supportive work environment for everyone.
