As a remote tutor, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, with a schedule that fits your needs. We are seeking highly motivated and skilled college students to tutor AVID students using Socratic Tutorial Methods, under the supervision of a certified AVID teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop your teaching skills, and make a positive impact on the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tutor secondary AVID students using Socratic Tutorial Methods during the regular school day (up to 18 hours per week)
- Work collaboratively with certified AVID teachers to drive student success
- Participate in pre-training and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge of AVID methodologies
Requirements:
- Current college student with a high school diploma
- Pre-training in AVID methodologies required (some training will occur outside of the AVID classroom during evening sessions)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
