[Remote] Cloud Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Red Oak Technologies is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Developer Experience) to help scale modern cloud infrastructure and improve developer workflows. This hands-on role focuses on building reliable, reusable, and secure systems across multi-cloud environments. Responsibilities • Build and maintain standardized Terragrunt structures across accounts, regions, and environments • Refactor and migrate Terraform stacks and state with minimal downtime and drift • Develop and scale Ansible automation for system provisioning and application deployment • Design secure, multi-cloud architectures using RBAC and least-privilege access • Manage Kubernetes deployments using Helm, Kustomize, Tanka, or Jsonnet • Enhance CI/CD and GitOps workflows (GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, Jenkins) • Integrate cloud platforms with tools like Slack, Jira, and internal automation systems Skills • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no exceptions) • Strong experience with Terragrunt + Terraform (structuring, refactoring, state management) • Proven experience with Ansible at scale for automation and configuration management • Hands-on experience running Kubernetes workloads (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • Build and maintain standardized Terragrunt structures across accounts, regions, and environments • Refactor and migrate Terraform stacks and state with minimal downtime and drift • Develop and scale Ansible automation for system provisioning and application deployment • Design secure, multi-cloud architectures using RBAC and least-privilege access • Manage Kubernetes deployments using Helm, Kustomize, Tanka, or Jsonnet • Enhance CI/CD and GitOps workflows (GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, Jenkins) • Integrate cloud platforms with tools like Slack, Jira, and internal automation systems • Experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets management tools • Programming experience (Go, Python) • Strong Linux background (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky, Ubuntu) • Experience with cloud-init and image automation Benefits • W2 ONLY • NO C2C • Eligibility Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no exceptions) Company Overview • Red Oak Technologies is a staffing and recruiting company offering IT, marketing, and finance recruitment services.
