As a Remote Customer Support Representative, you'll be part of a global team that prioritizes textbook affordability and provides students with the resources they need to succeed. **About the Role** As a Remote Customer Support Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for students seeking assistance with their textbook purchases, rentals, or returns. You'll respond to customer inquiries via inbound phone calls, live chats, and emails, providing timely and accurate solutions to their queries. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every customer interaction is positive, efficient, and effective. **Key Responsibilities:** * Respond to customer inquiries via phone, chat, and email in a timely and professional manner * Provide Tier 1 level support, resolving customer issues and concerns promptly * Utilize a ticketing system to manage customer interactions and track resolutions * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web and mobile apps, eBooks, and other digital products * Multitask in multiple browsers and browser tabs while handling customer communications * Demonstrate a strong ability to walk customers through the process of navigating a mobile app/website and downloading/installing an application * Show empathy and a professional demeanor in all customer interactions * Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards **Required Qualifications:** * Previous experience in a customer support role, preferably with Zendesk * Strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Proficiency in using a ticketing system and other customer support software * Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to web and mobile apps * Strong ability to work independently and as part of a remote team * Reliable internet speed and service * Ability to self-schedule shifts, including peak times (6 AM - 4 PM PST) and weekend days **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working with a variety of customer support tools and software * Familiarity with eBooks, digital textbooks, and other educational materials * Strong knowledge of Mac, PC, iOS, Chromebook, Kindle Fire, and Android devices and applications * Ability to work in a quiet workspace with minimal distractions * Willingness to install MSQ security software and 2FA app on the phone * Access to a webcam or smartphone capable of taking pictures **Workspace Requirements:** * Dedicated laptop or desktop computer with Windows 10 or above and 8GB Ram * Quality headset with a noise-canceling microphone * Quiet workspace to take calls * Reliable internet speed and service * Ability to self-schedule shifts, including peak times (6 AM - 4 PM PST) and weekend days **Commitment and Availability:** * 20 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed * 90-day commitment, with the option to extend or terminate as needed * Availability to work during peak times (6 AM - 4 PM PST) and weekend days **Compensation and Benefits:** * Competitive hourly rate, to be discussed in the interview phase * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Flexible work schedule and remote work arrangements * Access to a global community of customer support professionals * Opportunities for bonuses and incentives based on performance **About arenaflex** arenaflex is a global provider of managed digital engagement services, with a team of 10,000+ Mods who chat with customers, moderate web content, manage communities, and buzz in social media for many of the world's coolest brands.
