SunTechPros Inc. is seeking an experienced EDI Consultant with expertise in Electronic Data Interchange implementations and integrations. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing EDI integrations while ensuring compliance with business and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement EDI integrations
- Work with EDI standards such as: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS (if applicable)
- Develop and maintain EDI mappings using tools like: IBM Sterling, SAP PI/PO, Seeburger, Gentran, BizTalk, Boomi
- Configure and manage trading partner setups
- Monitor EDI transactions (850, 810, 856, 997, etc.)
- Troubleshoot EDI failures and resolve mapping or communication issues
- Work with business teams (Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics) to gather requirements
- Perform EDI testing, validation, and certification with trading partners
- Support production incidents and provide RCA documentation
- Ensure compliance with business and regulatory standards
Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) implementations, integrations, and production support
- Strong expertise in EDI standards, mapping, trading partner onboarding, and B2B integrations across supply chain and finance domains
- Design, develop, test, and implement EDI integrations
- Work with EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS (if applicable)
- Develop and maintain EDI mappings using tools like IBM Sterling, SAP PI/PO, Seeburger, Gentran, BizTalk, Boomi
- Configure and manage trading partner setups
- Monitor EDI transactions (850, 810, 856, 997, etc.)

- Hands-on EDI 204 implementation
- Hands-on EDI 210 invoice processing
- Understanding of Accessorial charges, Rate agreements, Stop-off handling, Fuel surcharge logic
- Experience integrating EDI into TMS
- Understanding of X12 (US), Possibly EDIFACT (EU carriers), 204/990/214/210 lifecycle, Multi-stop shipments, Accessorial handling, Invoice reconciliation logic
- Ability to design canonical data model
- Experience onboarding carriers
- Experience introducing EDI where none exists
