[Remote] Environmental Scientist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking an entry level Environmental Scientist to participate in a variety of environmental compliance tasks. The role involves waste profile development, quality assurance, and client interaction, primarily in an office environment with some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing various work scopes, while meeting project schedules and budgets
• Work independently and as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing conditions
• Interfacing with client personnel at a corporate and facility level
• Communications with regulatory agencies
• Time management to ensure a quality product is prepared to meet project deadlines
• Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
• Following defined processes explicitly while also being able to identify and accommodate new or changing scenarios as well as developing processes for new activities

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics, or biology), engineering, or related area required
• Related work experience of 0-2 years
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Strong computer skills required. Must have demonstrated strength and proficiency with Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, and ability to learn other software applications
• May be asked to work in the field and travel to complete work
• Prior experience or training regarding environmental compliance and related federal and state environmental regulations
• Experience with RCRA and state hazardous waste, non-RCRA waste, and regulated waste compliance and national experience
