Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hive Mind Speaks is a small charitable organisation that seeks to provoke participatory democracy via disruptive visual art. They are looking for an experienced individual to help oversee their finances, accounting, and encourage responsible spending.
Responsibilities
- You will guide and manage our organisation’s financial activity
- You will help set up financial processes and ensure they are up to standard and we are acting responsibly
- You will help ensure we remain a legally compliant entity as it relates to tax and reporting
- Oversee our income and expenditure and ensure it aligns with our records
- You will inform the Founder on our organisation’s financial health and provide advice on maintaining our organisation’s long-term financial sustainability
Skills
- Demonstrable experience in managing the finances of an organisation, ideally a charity but welcoming of all types of experience from for-profit, public or non-government entities
- Trustworthy and can be entrusted to handle sensitive documents confidentially
- Accessible to the Founder and provide timely & relevant financial advice
- Experience in reading & understanding legal documents
