The role involves managing cases from inception through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
- Prepare for and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
- Manage multiple matters while meeting court deadlines independently
Skills
- Active and in good standing Nevada Bar license
- 1+ year of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense
- Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and caseload independently
- Trial preparation or courtroom exposure is a plus
