The role involves designing and building scalable applications, developing backend services, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines while mentoring other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, production-grade applications
- Develop backend services using Node.js (TypeScript) and some Java
- Work with GraphQL APIs (including modern data aggregation patterns) and REST
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decisions
- Break down ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable solutions
- Mentor engineers and help drive best practices across the team
Skills
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong system design and architecture mindset
- Experience with React
- Node.js / TypeScript
- Java
- GraphQL and REST APIs
- AWS + NoSQL (DynamoDB or MongoDB)
- CI/CD and automated testing (unit/integration)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Strong collaboration skills and a low-ego, team-first mindset
- Experience with GraphQL federation / subgraphs
- Exposure to React Native or mobile CI/CD
