They are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to develop and manage data-driven solutions while collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to support business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Effectively plan and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams supporting multiple key business initiatives
- Develop and manage data-driven solutions and architectures supporting multiple reports, tools, and systems
- Conduct advanced statistical analysis to yield actionable insights, identify trends, measure performance, and visualize disparate sources of data
- Turn ideas from proof-of-concepts to product while working with engineering teams to optimize factory productivity, customer satisfaction, and attainment of financial targets given a set of constantly changing supply constraints
- Engagement in data governance council to define, develop, and review standards, guidelines, and data models to promote data quality and best practices
Skills
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experience using MRP, ERP, and MES systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience in design, implementations, and optimization in relational SQL databases
- Experience with data cleansing, curation, mining, manipulation, and analysis from disparate systems (SQL, Python preferred)
- Knowledge of Data Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes using SQL as the foundation
- Ability to understand complex systems and processes and translate business needs to requirements
- Working knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Knowledge of database structures, modeling implementation such as third normal form
- Experience with Python and related libraries such as Pandas for advanced data analytics
- Experience with configuration control (GitHub preferred) and DataDevOps practices using GitHub Actions, Jenkins or other deployment pipelines that provide Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with Snowflake Streams, Stages and Snowpipes for data ingestion
- Experience with VS Code and GitHub Desktop for integrated development
- Experience with web application relational database models and APIs
- Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning methods
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of advanced Excel, pivot tables, Power Query
- Experience with Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Supply Chain process and systems
