Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of core gameplay systems and features. Architect robust and scalable code solutions for complex game mechanics. Mentor and guide a team of game programmers, providing technical direction and code reviews. Collaborate with designers, artists, and producers to translate game concepts into functional features. Identify and address technical challenges, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality code. Contribute to the development of proprietary game engines and development tools. Champion best practices in software engineering, including testing, debugging, and documentation. Research and integrate new technologies to enhance gameplay experiences. Ensure the performance and stability of the game across target platforms. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 10+ years of professional game development experience with a significant focus on gameplay programming. Minimum of 3 years in a lead or senior programming role, with experience mentoring junior developers. Expertise in C++ and object-oriented programming principles. Strong proficiency with a major game engine such as Unreal Engine or Unity. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex gameplay systems (e.g., AI, physics, combat, UI). Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce). Strong communication and collaboration skills, crucial for effective remote teamwork. A portfolio showcasing significant contributions to released titles is highly desirable.
