They are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (PE) to oversee mechanical engineering services on projects, requiring strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Engineer is responsible for all mechanical engineering services on projects from start to finish
- Research and analyze design options
- Preparation and review of HVAC and Plumbing construction documents
- Develop and edit project specifications as required
- Review product shop drawings/submittals related to the HVAC and Plumbing design
- Review and respond to requests of information (RFIs)
- Must be capable of managing and leading support staff such as drafting and mechanical designers
- Ability to communicate with clients, project owners and contractors in a professional manner
- Will be required to establish budgets, develop engineering services proposals and maintain/develop client relationships
- Business development
- Mentoring entry level staff
Skills
- Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Michigan or ability to be registered in Michigan
- Willing to become registered in other states
- 6+ years of experience
- Must be capable of handling all aspects of mechanical engineering related to the building industry including HVAC Design, Plumbing Design, Fire Protection Performance Specifications
- Expert Revit User
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
