Randstad Digital Americas is a world leader in matching great people with great companies, and they are seeking a results-driven and technically minded sales representative to drive growth within their clients' core markets. The role involves business development, identifying new customers, and executing a sales plan to achieve revenue targets, with significant travel required within the US and Canada.
Responsibilities
- Business development & sales growth within defined US territory
- Identify and prospect new customers within the defined territory, including concrete pre-cast plants, quarries, food processing, tradeshows and OEM manufacturing plants
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan alongside the territory sales manager to meet and exceed year-on-year and monthly revenue targets
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline using internal tools and CRM software
- Use, if applicable, your current relationships and experience and a variety of search methods to uncover new, OEM and Distribution prospects
- Travel, when necessary, on an overnight basis to trade shows and customer facilities to gain a better understanding of the needs in the market within territory assigned by the sales/territory manager
Skills
- Bachelor degree
- 5 years of experience in sales
- MECHANICAL or MANUFACTURING Sales background
- Valid Passport for travel outside of US
- Results-driven and technically minded
- Ability to travel 90% within the US and Canada
- Experience in business development & sales growth
- Ability to identify and prospect new customers
- Experience in maintaining a robust sales pipeline using internal tools and CRM software
- Ability to travel on an overnight basis to trade shows and customer facilities
- Working in a smoke-free environment
- Working weekends
- Prior exposure to an Industrial Processing, Bulk Material Handling or Manufacturing environment
- Experience selling to OEM and Distribution
- Experience selling electric motors or power transmission components
