Blu Omega is seeking a Mid Vulnerability Analyst to safeguard critical systems through expert vulnerability assessment and risk mitigation. The role involves evaluating vulnerabilities, creating reports, and collaborating with teams to ensure system resilience.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the severity and potential impact of discovered vulnerabilities to inform risk prioritization
- Create comprehensive reports that detail findings, risk assessments, and actionable mitigation strategies
- Collaborate closely with system administrators and developers to address vulnerabilities, verify fixes, and ensure system resilience
- Support enterprise cybersecurity operations in alignment with federal standards and guidelines including HHS, DHS CISA, and FISMA
- Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices to proactively protect NIH systems
Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Vulnerability Analyst or similar role, demonstrating hands-on vulnerability management
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques
- Experience with incident response, risk analysis, and mitigation planning
- Ability to interpret technical findings into clear, actionable reports
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks
- Experience with enterprise-level cybersecurity monitoring and threat intelligence
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to streamline vulnerability management processes
