ABB is a company that helps industries run leaner and cleaner, and they are seeking a Midstream Analytical TSS for the Northeast US Region. The role involves managing key analytical accounts, building customer relationships, identifying natural gas analytical projects, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the major Analytical accounts in the region are identified and prioritized. May act as Account Manager for accounts in conjunction with the Analytical Sales Manager
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with the key customers in the Northeast region. Follows up ABB’s performance in fulfilling their needs and communicates deficiencies and/or opportunities to the respective Business Units/Product Groups
- To identify potential natural gas analytical projects and present ABB solutions that are fit-for-purpose for our customers. Once a project is received the candidate will design a solution involving as much ABB content as possible and begin to implement the solution for the customer
- Monitor market trends and recommend adjustments for the strategy and plans accordingly to meet changing market and competitive landscapes and effectively present the best solutions for our customers that meets and exceeds their expectations
- Works closely with the relevant Sales organization to help in the identification and capture of future business and communicates the end user value proposition for ABB natural gas analytical solutions (internally and externally)
- Targets - Responsible for achieving key targets (e.g. volume, price, and mix) for the Region. Creates detailed business plans, implements with regular follow-up
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ Years of Experience or an Associates Degree/HS Diploma (GED) and 12+ Years of Experience is required
- Solid understanding of gas quality measurement products and technologies used throughout the oil and gas industry
- Obsession with end users, their wants and needs, their goals and objectives, how they buy, how they maintain their equipment, how they partner with suppliers
- Ability to develop relationships at all levels in ABB, our channel partners and our end users
- Good time/activity and priority management skills with a strong willingness to learn and a passion for success

- Ability and willingness to travel 30-50% of the time (up to 100 nights per year)
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation as either a customer, sales, technician or project manager
