Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SMX is seeking a Project Manager to join the integrated program management office (PMO) in a leadership position supporting multiple contracts and projects. The role involves coordinating priorities, supporting operational planning, and maintaining effective relationships with government program managers.
Responsibilities
- Assists with coordination of priorities and resources between multiple projects
- Reports status, develop program/project-related documentation, implements lessons learned, and updates and maintains production and quality metrics for assigned programs and projects
- Supports operational planning, execution, and evaluation of a multi-faceted program that requires collaboration with customers to identify new project opportunities
- Supports the orchestration/development of operational data calls, report outs, and performance products as required to support and bolster SMX posture for current and future business
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the government’s program managers
- Develops short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures in accordance with contract parameters
Skills
- Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
- Demonstrable success in government contracting (DoD preferred) through prior work experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience working in a role responsible for DoD funding (planning, executing, overseeing)
- Previous experience in DoD Communication Platforms and Networks; testing/evaluation and/or operations
- Previous experience in tactical and enterprise network operations, preferably in a leadership role
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives
- Experience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition leaders on topics related to programmatic, technology, and financial status
- Experience supporting large contracts leading complex development, production, fielding of platforms, and/or support initiatives with technical objectives
- Experience with the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in a Program Management or Technical Leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, business, or a related discipline – desired MA/MS
- Deep understanding of and relationships with the Intelligence Community and federal interagency partners
- Experience managing global projects
- Experience with managing relationships with non-US military personnel
- 15+ years of management/supervision experience in tactical network-related, information technology, or engineering fields/programs
