Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ZAMination is an independent 'indie' animation studio that creates animated content and TV shows. They are seeking a Pipeline Engineer to design and build a next-generation animation studio pipeline, working closely with a team of artists.
Responsibilities

All of us need to know truly what is and isn’t working at ZAM, on a technical as well as a more interpersonal level, in order to make proper changes for the betterment of everybody on the team, and the quality of our shows
- Working with department leads to architect a next-gen pipeline for ZAMination built around USD, Maya, and Redshift
- Create, update, and manage software, plugins, and tooling built for and/or used by all departments in 3D production
- Building artist-facing tools and engineering pipeline infrastructure on a foundational level
- Set your own working hours to complete individual tasks on time & achieve goals
Skills
- Proficient in C++ and Python
- Experience using Maya, AYON/OpenPype, Pyblish, Prism, Houdini, Shotgun, or similar VFX/animation tools and their APIs
- Experience with OpenUSD, Git workflow, packaging tools, and artist tool/pipeline distribution workflows
- Experience building VFX and animation workflows and publish pipelines for both shots and assets
- Experience building intuitive custom UI widgets, specifically interactive canvas, node, or node-connection UI elements
