KP Aviation is an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, seeking a Product Line Manager for their Landing Gear product line. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of GEAR assets, including strategy, growth, and operational performance, while partnering with various teams to maximize profitability and market presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the GEAR product line to achieve revenue, inventory, and margin objectives
- Evaluate and analyze Gear opportunities including whole units, modules, piece parts, and repair events
- Lead GEAR asset valuation, acquisition strategy, and buy package analysis
- Create and maintain proformas, pricing models, and financial forecasts for GEAR inventory and transactions
- Partner with Repairs and Technical teams to oversee Gear repair events and return-to-service activity
- Monitor market trends, supply/demand conditions, and competitive intelligence related to GEAR assets
- Own sales plan and drive performance to AOP
- Manage inventory movement, aging material strategies, and inventory optimization efforts
- Build and maintain supplier, repair vendor, and customer relationships
- Track product line KPIs including gross margin, inventory turns, and profitability metrics
- Identify new opportunities for product line expansion and strategic growth initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Deep understanding of Landing Gear components, systems, and aftermarket lifecycle management (Specifically 737,747,767,A319/20/21,A330 &A350 platforms)
- Knowledge of aviation supply chain operations, including repair, overhaul (RO), and asset management strategies
- Strong grasp of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and stocking strategies (1–2 year horizons)
- Familiarity with financial modeling, including margin analysis, ROI, and cost optimization
- Understanding of go-to-market strategies, pricing frameworks, and competitive positioning in aviation aftermarket
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (FAA, EASA, trace, airworthiness)
- Experience with ERP/WMS/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle) and how they support product lifecycle execution
- Knowledge of market dynamics, OEM relationships, and supplier networks within GEAR or broader aerospace components
- Strong analytical and modeling skills—ability to turn demand signals into actionable stocking and acquisition strategies
- Advanced data analysis and decision-making (Excel, BI tools, SQL preferred)
- Ability to build and execute product line strategies across acquisition, pricing, and sales channels
- Skilled in cross-functional leadership—aligning sales, operations, repair, and finance teams
- Strong commercial acumen—pricing strategy, deal structuring, and revenue optimization
- Effective communication and storytelling—able to translate data into clear business actions
- Project management and prioritization across multiple initiatives and timelines
- Ability to identify gaps and drive process improvements in asset management and product line execution
- Skilled at negotiation and vendor management for acquisitions and repair sourcing
- Own end-to-end product line performance, from modeling demand to driving revenue outcomes
- Balance short-term sales opportunities with long-term asset strategy
- Interpret complex data sets and market signals to guide investment decisions
- Drive accountability across teams to ensure execution of stocking and go-to-market plans
- Identify underperforming inventory and take corrective action (repositioning, liquidation, reallocation)
- Develop forward-looking strategies aligned to proforma targets and multi-year planning horizons
- Adapt quickly to changing market conditions, supply constraints, or demand shifts
- Challenge existing processes and lead continuous improvement efforts
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, moving seamlessly between high-level planning and day-to-day execution
