Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BrassTacks Resources is an early-stage AI startup building a pioneering platform for regulated industries. They are seeking a hands-on AI agent product manager to work directly with engineering and customers, bridging the gap between complex regulatory workflows and full-stack execution.
Responsibilities
- Refine the Product Roadmap: Partner directly with the CEO to continuously refine the product roadmap, translating high-level business goals into concrete product milestones and defensible product moats
- Market Positioning & Discovery: Own the product discovery process alongside the CEO and advisors. Dive deep into conversations with early customers to uncover high-value operational pain points, turning those insights into sharp market positioning
- Hands-on Prototyping & Shipping Code: Don't just write specs—leverage AI agents, experiment with LLM workflows, and build functional prototypes. You are technical enough to roll up your sleeves, dive into the codebase, and produce production-quality, shipping code when the team needs extra velocity
- Translate Workflows into Specs: Take dense, document-heavy compliance and regulatory workflows and translate them into clear, lightweight product requirements and actionable acceptance criteria
- Partner with Engineering: Coordinate closely with the lead full-stack engineer, aligning on technical feasibility, API design, data models, and system tradeoffs to keep execution seamless
- Champion UI/UX Intuition: Push for simplicity. Help design intuitive user journeys that make highly complex AI agent actions feel transparent, reliable, and clear to the end user
Skills

- A strong background as a software engineer
- Hands-on experience working with or building AI/LLM-powered products, multi-agent systems, or prototyping with complex agentic workflows
- Past experience working directly with founders or external domain experts
- Extreme comfort with ambiguity, a strong bias toward shipping, and the ability to choose sensible defaults to keep momentum moving
- Direct exposure to regulated industries (audit, compliance, GRC, financial services, accounting, or standards bodies)
- Familiarity with the technical stack context (React/Next.js, Node.js, Postgres) and AI-assisted development paradigms
