Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Estuary is reshaping how the world moves data with their right time data platform, which integrates various data processes into one system. They are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to help define their market position, enhance sales strategies, and build connections between product, sales, and the data community.
Responsibilities
- Lead product launches and feature rollouts in partnership with Product and Engineering, owning the messaging, asset development, and go-to-market sequencing
- Partner with the VP Marketing on positioning and messaging for the platform, our deployment options, and key use cases (CDC, real-time analytics, AI pipelines, data warehouse modernization), turning the strategic direction into the artifacts, copy, and proof points the rest of the company uses
- Run buyer and customer research through call transcript analysis, customer interviews, and primary research to keep our messaging grounded in how data teams actually talk
- Develop ICP-aligned narratives for our core buyer personas: data engineers, data architects, and data platform leaders
- Own customer case studies and proof points: drive the pipeline of new stories from sales handoff through publication, and weave named customers into our broader narrative
- Build the competitive program against Fivetran, Airbyte, Confluent, Debezium, and emerging entrants, including battle cards, win/loss insights, and field-ready talk tracks
- Drive sales enablement by partnering closely with our Head of Sales, AEs, and Sales Engineers to equip the team with the narratives, objection handling, and proof points they need to close
- Lead partner marketing for our ecosystem (Snowflake, Databricks, cloud providers, and others), owning joint positioning, co-marketing campaigns, and partner-aligned content
- Partner with Marketing on the editorial direction of high-value content, including thought leadership, the comparison hub, and analyst-facing materials
Skills
- 3–5 years of B2B PMM experience at a data infrastructure, dev tools, or modern data stack company
- Fluency in the modern data stack: you understand the difference between batch ETL, ELT, CDC, and streaming, and you can hold your own in a technical conversation with a data engineer or platform lead
- Strong writing and editing chops: you can produce a one-pager, a launch blog, a video demo, a battle card, and a sales narrative without needing heavy editing
- Sales partnership instinct: you know how to build trust with AEs and SEs, and you treat enablement as a craft, not a deck delivery
- Customer interviewing skills: you have run discovery calls, transcript analysis, or formal buyer research and know how to extract sharp insight from messy input
- Bias toward shipping: you can move from a blank page to a usable artifact quickly, and you know when something is good enough to put in front of a customer
- Editorial judgment: you can hold a consistent voice across a wide content surface, and you push back on jargon, hype words, and weak language
- Direct experience with companies like Fivetran, Airbyte, Confluent, dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Estuary-adjacent ETL/streaming/CDC vendors, or similar is strongly preferred
- Have shipped a launch at a data infrastructure or dev tools company that materially moved pipeline
- Have worked closely with technically focused buyers at larger organizations and understand how technical evaluation cycles actually unfold
- Have experience supporting partner ecosystems (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar)
- Have built a competitive program from scratch, including primary research, win/loss, and battle card systems
- Have used AI tooling (Claude, ChatGPT, perplexity, Notion AI, etc.) to accelerate research, drafting, and competitive workflows
Benefits
- Remote-first culture with quarterly offsites in cities like Miami, Austin, Boulder, and New Orleans.
- Competitive base, equity, and full benefits.
