They are seeking a Program Manager to lead federal digital modernization initiatives, ensuring project execution aligns with goals and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of one or more programs supporting digital modernization initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones, schedules, and budgets are met
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk management strategies, and communication plans
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful outcomes
- Facilitate collaboration among technical teams, government stakeholders, and external partners
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, federal regulations, and organizational policies
- Prepare and present regular status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
Skills
- Proven experience in program management, preferably within federal government or large-scale IT modernization projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as PMI, Agile, or Scrum
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
- Experience with risk management, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of federal procurement processes and compliance standards
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field
- PMP or similar certification
