Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Leidos is currently seeking a driven, results oriented and motivated self-starter with a project and program management background to join the NISC team as a Project Manager in support of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) surveillance and radar modernization effort. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all projects schedules are met and within budget constraints
- Provide timely/accurate responses to all technical and program inquiries received
- As required, assist in budget formulation activities utilizing FAA government databases
- As applicable, author required documents in support of program schedules
- Work independently to achieve day-to-day Program objectives which may significantly impact operational results or program objectives
- Update project schedules as required and provide input to FAA construction managers
- Organize impromptu telecons/meetings to ensure all project maintain schedule and cost
- Utilizing special client databases, provide programmatic input to other team members
- Perform investigations and root cause analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Requires a BA or BS degree and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to present ideas to diverse audiences
- Proficient with MS Project and Excel (Macros)
- Prior experience supporting the FAA
- Knowledge of FAA radar technology
- Technical background (Highly preferred)
- Lean/Six Sigma Analysis skills
