The Reimbursement Analyst supports the preparation, analysis, and optimization of reimbursement across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, while developing a foundational understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports (e.g., HCRIS submissions, supporting schedules)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in healthcare Finance, Accounting, or analytics
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Attention to detail with ability to manage large datasets
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate data into insights
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Exposure to healthcare reimbursement concepts (Medicare, Medicaid, DRGs, APCs)
- Familiarity with cost report software (e.g., HFS)
- Experience with healthcare financial systems (e.g., Epic, Strata, Axiom)
- Basic understanding of net revenue modeling and reserve methodologies
