LS Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to develop and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines, architecture, and models for processing clinical and operational health data. The role involves designing ETL/ELT pipelines and enhancing data infrastructure while ensuring compliance with data governance and security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python for data ingestion, transformation, and processing
- Enhancing data infrastructure within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to optimize performance, security, and data integrity
- Developing automation for data governance, quality, and compliance to secure sensitive data
- Supporting production environments by troubleshooting escalated issues involving PHI/PII data with strict adherence to security protocols
Skills
- 5+ years in data or backend engineering, with strong Python skills and experience with relational, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS), Kubernetes, Terraform, and data modeling
- Knowledge of healthcare data regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST) and commitment to data privacy
- High integrity, operational awareness, collaboration across time zones, and a passion for impactful, compliant data solutions
