The position involves preparing complex tax returns, providing advisory support, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Independently prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
- Provide advisory support on succession, estate, and retirement planning
- Manage client relationships with a proactive, service-driven approach
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate internal knowledge sharing
- Engage in business development and client acquisition (experienced candidates)
- Stay updated on tax legislation to inform client strategies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4–8 years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong technical skills in compliance, research, and planning
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and UltraTax
- Organized, tech-savvy, and adaptable to a dynamic environment
- CPA preferred or in progress
- Experienced candidates for business development and client acquisition
