Wellesley Cove Group is seeking a Senior Consultant, Healthcare Data Science & AWS to support client engagements at the intersection of healthcare, analytics, data science, and cloud-enabled solution delivery. The role involves assessing client needs, analyzing healthcare data, supporting data science initiatives, and contributing to AWS-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support healthcare-focused client engagements involving data analytics, data science, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled solutions
- Work with client stakeholders to understand business needs, operational pain points, data sources, and analytical requirements
- Analyze healthcare data sets and support the development of insights, models, dashboards, reporting outputs, or decision-support tools
- Contribute to data science workstreams, including exploratory analysis, feature definition, model development support, model evaluation, and interpretation of results
- Support the design and implementation of AWS-based data and analytics solutions
- Work with technical teams on data pipelines, cloud architecture, data storage, analytics environments, and deployment considerations
- Translate technical findings into clear, executive-ready business recommendations
- Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, requirements documents, process maps, analytical summaries, and implementation plans
- Support project management activities, including work planning, status updates, issue tracking, and stakeholder communications
- Collaborate with consultants, data scientists, engineers, and client teams to deliver practical, measurable outcomes
- Help identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and advanced analytics to healthcare workflows
Skills
- Prior consulting experience at Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Accenture, or a similar consulting / advisory firm
- Experience working with healthcare clients, healthcare data, healthcare operations, payers, providers, life sciences, public health, or health technology organizations
- Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data science concepts, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or advanced analytics
- Hands-on experience working with data using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar
- Experience with AWS cloud services in a data, analytics, AI/ML, or solution delivery context
- Ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong PowerPoint / executive communication skills and ability to produce client-ready deliverables
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and move work forward with limited direction
- Strong attention to detail and consulting-quality standards
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, SageMaker, Lambda, Bedrock, EC2, or related services
- Experience with healthcare data standards or systems such as claims data, EHR/EMR data, HL7, FHIR, Epic, Cerner, CMS data, quality measures, or revenue cycle data
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or Looker
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or generative AI use cases in healthcare
- Experience with data governance, data quality, data lineage, privacy, or compliance considerations
- Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare privacy requirements, or regulated data environments
- Experience working in agile, product, or technology delivery environments
