They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the organization’s reporting, analytics, and planning needs by collecting and modeling data to deliver actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations. Responsibilities Conduct and document moderate to highly complex financial and data analyses Develop advanced financial models, forecasting tools, and automated reporting solutions Design and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations (Power BI preferred) to support leadership decision-making Leverage Python (or similar tools) for data manipulation, automation, and scalability of recurring processes Translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions, improving efficiency and data accessibility across Finance Integrate and analyze large datasets across systems (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, data warehouses) Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data-driven insights and predictive analytics Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range planning processes Conduct cost-benefit, scenario, and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic initiatives Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, strengthen data governance, and align financial outputs with organizational priorities May lead projects or provide guidance to other analysts on technical and analytical approaches Skills Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance, analytics, or related field with demonstrated experience in data analytics, automation, or business intelligence Advanced Excel proficiency (complex modeling, Power Query, and macro/VBA automation) Experience with Power BI for dashboard development, data modeling, and storytelling for non-technical stakeholders Working knowledge of SQL, and familiarity with data warehouses, or enterprise data platforms Experience working with large, complex datasets and financial systems (Oracle, Hyperion, SAP, etc.) Ability to bridge finance and technology, translating business problems into analytical solutions Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear insights Initiative, independence, and continuous improvement mindset Strong communication and data storytelling skills Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Collaborative and team-oriented approach High level of professionalism and integrity Python, R, or similar programming experience Power BI or Tableau experience Experience with enterprise systems (Oracle, Hyperion, SAP BusinessObjects) Exposure to data modeling, forecasting tools, or predictive analytics Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows or automation tools (Copilot, forecasting models, etc.) Benefits Medical, Dental Vision plans Health Spending Accounts & Flexible Spending Accounts PTO Starting at 15 days a year; based on type of job and tenure Holidays 11 paid holidays comprised of six core holidays and five floating holidays 401K with up to 6% match Paid Family Leave Employee Assistance Disability and Insurance Short + Long Term Service Awards and recognition Company Overview American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization whose purpose is to meet the immediate disaster-caused needs of people and communities.
