Our client, a leading international hospitality group, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Senior Operations Specialist focusing on Hotel Revenue Management. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise in maximizing revenue and profitability for a portfolio of properties from anywhere within the US. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, sophisticated analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to implement dynamic pricing and inventory management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and historical data to forecast demand and set optimal room rates. Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies across all distribution channels to maximize occupancy and revenue (RevPAR). Manage room inventory and control availability to align with demand forecasts and strategic goals. Collaborate closely with hotel General Managers and Sales teams to ensure alignment on pricing and promotional strategies. Utilize revenue management systems (RMS) and property management systems (PMS) to their full potential. Prepare regular performance reports, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing actionable insights for improvement. Identify opportunities to increase ancillary revenue streams beyond room bookings. Conduct regular audits of pricing and inventory to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in revenue management and the broader hospitality industry. Provide training and support to hotel teams on revenue management best practices. Contribute to the development and refinement of revenue management policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in hotel revenue management or a closely related role within the hospitality industry. Proven experience using various revenue management systems (e.g., IDeaS, Duetto, Cendyn) and property management systems (e.g., Opera, Cloud). Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent understanding of pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and inventory control. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple properties, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
