The role involves creating reinforcement learning environments and developing high-quality backend services while emphasizing security and code quality.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reinforcement learning environments that simulate real-world backend programming tasks
- Develop backend services and supporting infrastructure using Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Rust, or similar technologies
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, with a strong emphasis on test coverage
- Review code for correctness, performance, maintainability, and security, while providing clear and actionable feedback
- Solve complex programming challenges and document your technical reasoning to improve AI model performance
- Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team and communicate engineering decisions effectively through documentation
Skills
- Strong backend development experience in technologies such as Java, Node.js, Go, or Rust
- Hands-on experience in secure software development, application security, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or security-focused code reviews
- Ability to create Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments that evaluate AI models' ability to solve complex software engineering problems
- Responsible for building reproducible environments and developing high-quality reference solutions for each task
- Build and maintain reinforcement learning environments that simulate real-world backend programming tasks
- Develop backend services and supporting infrastructure using Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Rust, or similar technologies
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, with a strong emphasis on test coverage
- Review code for correctness, performance, maintainability, and security, while providing clear and actionable feedback
- Solve complex programming challenges and document your technical reasoning to improve AI model performance
- Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team and communicate engineering decisions effectively through documentation
- Strong experience in backend software development using Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, or similar technologies
- Proven experience designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs
- Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and code review processes
- Cybersecurity/SecOps experience or exposure is highly preferred, including application security, secure coding, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, OWASP, CWE, or security-focused code reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working effectively in remote, distributed teams
- Familiarity with AI, data-driven, or large-scale technical projects is a plus
