They are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead their Energy Services business, responsible for defining product strategy, translating market opportunities into deliverables, and collaborating with various teams to optimize product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the Energy Services product strategy and roadmap aligned to company goals and ecosystem priorities
- Translate market opportunities and customer needs into clear product bets and deliverables
- Identify, shape, and deliver AI-enabled product capabilities across Energy Services, translating emerging technologies into practical customer, partner, and operational solutions
- Lead end-to-end product development (powered by AI tooling), from problem definition through launch and iteration
- Define requirements, success metrics, and KPIs; track performance and continuously optimize
- Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
- Develop deep expertise in the energy services ecosystem (utilities, DERs, grid programs, smart home devices)
- Identify and execute partnerships with utilities, DERMS providers, and OEM partners
- Define and report on business health metrics (e.g., adoption, engagement, revenue contribution)
- Build business cases and financial models to support new investments
- Partner with cross-functional leaders on ongoing governance and business review
Skills
- 10+ years of product management (or equivalent) experience, with significant experience building and scaling software, platform, or service-based products in energy, smart home, or adjacent connected-device ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to lead across engineering, design, data, commercial, and operations teams—with a track record of delivering complex products or programs through cross-functional dependencies and external partnerships
- Experience building and shipping AI-enabled product capabilities, with the ability to work closely with engineering and data teams on use case definition, product requirements, evaluation criteria, and post-launch iteration
- Deep experience shaping product strategy and execution for complex offerings, including requirements definition, risk management, and tradeoff decisions across customer value, technical feasibility, time to market, and business impact
- Experience working in regulated or partner-dependent environments—such as utilities, demand response, distributed energy resources, or connected home ecosystems—and navigating external requirements without compromising delivery
- Strong customer, market, and partner instincts paired with technical credibility—able to translate customer needs, market signals, and ecosystem opportunities into clear product direction and execution-ready requirements
- Strong analytical thinking and judgment: you define success metrics, assess product and business performance, and use structured decision-making to drive outcomes in ambiguous, evolving markets
- Senior leadership and influence: you align stakeholders across functions and levels, communicate clearly to mixed audiences, and raise the bar for strategic product thinking and execution
- As a self-starter and natural leader, you are comfortable with ambiguity, can operate strategically and tactically, and are willing to take a position or engage in tough conversations to move the business forward
